Mouse control in South London
The most common call we take. Mice breed fast and get in through gaps you would never think to look at, so baiting alone will not finish the job.
Signs you have mice
Mice leave far more evidence than people expect, mostly in the places nobody looks.
- Small dark droppings, 3 to 6mm, like grains of rice, behind appliances and in cupboards
- A faint, musty, ammonia-like smell in enclosed cupboards
- Light scratching in walls or above ceilings, usually just after dark
- Shredded paper, loft insulation or fabric gathered into a nest
- Gnawed food packaging, or small holes in the backs of cupboards
- Smudge marks where they run the same route each night

A female mouse can produce around five to ten litters a year, so a small problem becomes a large one within a season.
How we treat mice
Mice have tiny territories, often just a few metres. That changes where treatment has to go.
Survey
We track the runs and find the harbourage, usually behind kitchen units, under floors or in the void between floors.
Treatment
Control placed directly on the runs rather than in the open, because mice are nibblers and sample everything they pass.
Follow-up
Two to three visits is normal. We check take-up and move the treatment as the picture changes.
Proofing
Sealing gaps around pipework, cabling, airbricks and under units. A mouse gets through a gap the width of a pencil.
What affects the price
Flats are often cheaper to treat than houses, but harder to finish, because mice move between units.
- Whether it is a flat, a house or a commercial kitchen
- How many rooms show activity
- Whether neighbouring units are also affected
- How much proofing work is needed
- Whether units need lifting to reach the runs
