Emergency pest control
Some pest problems can wait until next week. These cannot. Call us and tell us what is happening.
When it is genuinely urgent
We prioritise by risk, not by who calls first. These are the situations that go to the front of the queue.
- A wasp nest near a doorway, a child or anyone with a known sting allergy
- Rodent activity in a commercial kitchen or food preparation area
- An Environmental Health visit due, or an improvement notice already issued
- Rodents in a room where a baby or a vulnerable adult sleeps
- A bird or animal trapped inside a building
- Any infestation that is stopping a business from trading
Tell us which of these applies when you call. It changes where you sit in the day.
What to do while you wait
Do not block the entrance
Particularly with wasps. Sealing the way in makes them chew a new way out, which is usually into the room rather than out of it.
Keep people and pets clear
Close the door to the affected room if you safely can. Keep children and animals out of it entirely.
Leave the evidence alone
Do not clear droppings, nesting material or insects before we arrive. It tells us what we are dealing with and how long it has been going on.
Being straight about response times
Plenty of firms advertise a guaranteed response window and then miss it. We would rather tell you the truth on the phone.
When you call, we will tell you when we can actually get to you. If that is today, we will say today. If the honest answer is tomorrow morning, we will say that instead of booking you in and letting you down. If we cannot help quickly enough and it genuinely cannot wait, we will say that too.
